The Best Slash Commands for AI Productivity
Typing a full prompt every time you want your AI to do something is slow. Slash commands fix that — type /morning and your agent runs a full morning briefing in one keystroke.
Here are the best slash commands to set up for daily productivity.
Built-in Commands in Noomachy
Noomachy ships with 10 built-in slash commands:
/mac-info— system info (CPU, memory, disk, uptime)/clipboard— read your current clipboard/emails— last 10 emails summarized/unread— only unread emails from the last 7 days/today— today's calendar/week— next 7 days of calendar events/reminders— pending reminders/notes— your 20 most recent notes/morning— full morning briefing (calendar + emails + reminders)/focus— what you should focus on right now
Type any of these in chat and the agent runs them immediately.
Creating Your Own
Use /set to save a custom command:
/set deep-work Block out 2 hours of deep work time on my calendar starting now,
mute all notifications, and tell me what I should focus on.Now /deep-work runs that exact prompt anytime.
The Best Custom Commands to Set Up
Here are battle-tested custom commands users have created:
/standup
Summarize what I worked on yesterday and what's on my plate today, formatted as a daily standup.
/inbox-zero
Triage my inbox: list urgent emails, suggest replies for the easy ones, archive newsletters.
/journal
Ask me three questions about my day and save my answers as a note titled with today's date.
/expenses
Search my emails for any receipts from the last 7 days and list them with amounts.
/research [topic]
Research [topic] using web search and Wikipedia, then save a summary as a new note. (Note: this one needs a placeholder system to be useful — Noomachy will auto-detect arguments after the slug.)
/end-of-day
What did I accomplish today? Look at my completed reminders and recent emails sent. Then ask me what tomorrow's top priority is.
/decision-log
Ask me about a decision I made today, why I made it, and what alternatives I considered. Save it as a note in the Decisions folder.
/weekly-review
Summarize the past week from my calendar, emails sent, and reminders completed. Surface anything important I missed.
How to Use Them
In Noomachy:
- Open the Commands tab in the right panel
- Click any command card to run it immediately (no copy-paste)
- Or type
/<command-name>in the chat input - Use
/listanytime to see all available commands - Use
/setto save a new one
The Productivity Effect
Once you have 10–15 well-tuned slash commands, your AI usage shifts. Instead of typing prompts, you fire shortcuts. The mental friction drops to near zero. Tasks that used to require opening 5 apps become a single /command.
This is the difference between an AI that's "useful" and one that's actually part of your daily flow.
